Stay All Prayed Up

Bethsaida-Quinby Worship Service – June 12, 2022

This week, Pastor Truluck had some minor surgery and is on bed rest for a week. Mrs. Lou Truluck brought our sermon message for today. Unfortunately, we do not have a recording of her giving her sermon, but here is a summary. Start with the reading of Psalm 121:

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains –
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip –
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you –
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day;
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm –
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

The world has been in trouble ever since the time of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, when Satan tempted them to eat of the fruit of the Tree of Life. There have been all forms of trouble for mankind because of disobedience and sin. Fortunately for us, God is our help in troubling times.

Staying all prayed up is the best way to invite God into your heart where he can be our help when we have heartaches, sickness, strife, war, illness, financial woes or any other kind of trouble in our life.

Please read Hebrews 13:5-8 to find God’s instruction and promise to us. In this passage, God promises: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

The most effective way to remind yourself that God is your help in troubled times, is to read the Holy Bible and “Stay All Prayed Up”. Take time daily to pray and have a conversation with God. Then you will be able to feel Him working in your life.

Many churches have not able to have in person worship services, ours included, during these times of COVID-19, and because of those times, sermons and entire worship services have been broadcast on YouTube, Live Stream, and FaceBook. These are wonderful tools, but something is missing from these services: Fellowship with other Believers. So, please take the opportunity to worship together at a church of your choice.

Please read Hebrews 10:24-25 to find what Scripture has to say about worshipping in person.
Until next time, “Stay All Prayed Up!!”
