Pastor Gerald asks us: “When you see someone drowning, will you throw them a life vest?”

Sunday’s Sermon Title: ‘The Path to Heaven’

Our Great Commission is found in Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our challenge for this year is: “Everyone Win One Person to Jesus Christ” – How do we do that? Everyone has a story to tell, so tell the story of what Jesus has done for you. It just might bring someone to Jesus Christ.

Pastor Gerald told us that Paul spells out the path to heaven in the Book of Romans. Everyone needs Salvation because we are all disobedient children.

Jesus died for our salvation: Romans 5:8 – ‘God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’

Salvation is a gift: Romans 6:23 – ‘For the wages of sin is death, but the give of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’

We can’t earn Salvation, it is gained through grace: Romans 11:6 – ‘And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.’

We trust God to save us: Romans 4:5 – ‘To the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.’

God saves all who call on Him: Romans 10:13 – ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

There are only 2 choices – Heaven or Hell – When you see someone drowning, will you throw them a life vest?

Everyone Win One this year!

Save the Date – September 7

You are invited!

Pastor Gerald asks questions that challenge us.

“How many times have you denied Christ?”

“When was the last time you have said, ‘I am a Christian’?”

Our sermon yesterday came from Luke, Chapter 22 starting at verse 54 and then 1 Peter, Chapter 4 starting at verse 12.

Pastor Gerald wants us to look at Peter and his actions and attitude before and after Calvary.

Our challenge: Share Christ, Be Bold.
